E38 V12 would be sweet. my plan in the future too. swap the V12 for a newer unit.

but my dream would be turn the current V12 into an NA 8000rpm 12 ITB machine that'll put the italian V12s to shame. Or a twin turbo 550i.
I said with the car... but i'd probably have sex IN it aswell

My E38 is near mint, so i'd really like it to be OEM on this so i'd have to aquire a 850CSi box aswell, and having previously owned a W140 S600L and experiencing the power it makes, made me wonder on possibilities of a 24valve conversion for the M70...

Also being a big ti fan, and knowing that there was a 24valve M70 based in the Racing Dynamics K55... made me investigate this even further..

I have just (2days ago) sent an e-mail to RD asking about prices and if they were still available, i'll let you know where that takes me..

The RD K55 made 470 crank horsepower (427whp @ 5900 rpm), without induvidual throttle bodies, could you imagine... 24valves, stiff valvesprings, ITB and 8500, or even 9000rpm.... in your E34 and my E38

Maybe i'm just dreaming.... maybe one day the dreams may come true... but i've got a long way to go... still this could be reality for you

    I think BMW's V12 is a really good base for power... i just **** the EML !!!

                    thanks again all,

i had to spend the sunday cleaning the interior as the car spent its couple of months at the shop. the mechanics weren't smart enough to know how precious the interior sat their oil-soiled ass on the seats no to mention their damn boots streaking on the footwell area. I have a tub of pro leather cleaner and is great at cleaning and maintaining a gloss-free finish. it's still a little dirty even after a few round. look like it couldn't match the power of oil. i'll try simple green next.

anyway, next up in the list:
                    - paint
                    - tranny
                    - big brakes

ishi: i know how some people **** these taiwanese clusters but it's a subjective thing. at one point i was getting tired of the stock hellas and replaced them with these. I still like it. but they're beams suck. I am planning a custom set of clusters, either retroftting Q45 gattling projectors or a set of bi-xenons.

Really nice car. I agree as far as replica's are concerned. If that's what you can afford then do what you must. The replica's from the first pic don't take away at all the look of the car. It's those fanboys out there that talk trash about not having the real deal. Props to you and the E34.
I bow gracefully to the E34.

I remember the long build thread for the E30, it was one of my all time favorites. The pictures were also tight.
