  • 2000 Audi S4 story

Ok then... Here we go again. This is my new project / daily, 2000 Audi S4 sedan.

The car has been driven 300 000 km's, but it is in suprisingly good condition. There is rust on the bonnet, passenger side rear door and on the trunk. Bumpers are installed quite badly and need some adjustment.

The engine has been updated with RS4 parts, taken out and assembled again some time ago by the previous owner. The exhaust pipe is also upgaded and the sound is pretty good...

I have already ordered new BC Racing coilovers, new steering wheel and gear knob, tail lights, oem RS4 grill, bigger passenger side mirror and my friend tinted the glasses on Sunday. I also ordered installation time for the new front speakers.

I also have refurbished 9,5- and 10,5x18 Oz Futuras waiting for the summer... Hopefully I get the coilovers soon so I can test fit them...

Plans for the future are rust repair and painting. Change seats to Recaros, overpainting (maybe even color change)

    That's where it slowly starts...

Test fitting the Futuras. Rears need 3-5mm spacer to clear the support arm. A slightly thicker spacer is needed for the front, so that the wheel clears the caliper. Didn't take any pictures from the front because we couldn't attach the wheel.

Faces are painted with Audi avus silver.

I also tested the fronts with spacers. 16mm needed.

Gonna remove the front bumper this weekend and put the mesh to the mid section too.

Fron wheels test fitting... 15mm spacer is enough to clear the caliper.

Also finished the front end. Need to find new front bumper because the current one is cracked from several places and the attachment points for both ends are broken and loose.

I'd go with a 20mm. Once your calipers heat up they'll grow.

Fitment is going to be tight once you lower it down some more.

It is already lower and doesn't hit anywhere. But we're gonna roll all the fenders today and adjust the front because the fit was quite thight there. Next week steering angles are going to be adjusted at the local tire shop.
