    Default 1978 mercedes 240d

selling my 1978 mercedes 240d. asking price $6k

    160k miles
    great running engine and transmission
    well maintained and always garaged
    not a daily driver

had plans to lower but found another car I want.

no rust, very clean paint and body with some chips here and there.

    lots of new parts:
    rare oem chrome wheels
    whitewall tires
    new door strikers
    new windshield
    new side trim
    new radiator
    new headlights
    new underhood liner
    new fast glow plug conversion

    in that past 1000 miles:
    performed diesel purge
    coolant flush
    transmission flush
    oil change
    valve adjustment

the car is a solid historic mercedes with a lot of charm. interior is near perfect with the exception of some cracks in the dash. as you know the w123 chassis and engine are well known for being damn near bulletproof.

    some minor issues:
fuel gauge is erratic (probably needs new sending unit)

Beautiful! GLWS. I have had a 300D that the fuel gauge reading was off at times, but not all the time. The sending unit has a tube with a float in it that sticks from gelled fuel. Just a FYI.
