I'm looking into building a set of 'skinnies' for drag racing. They would have limited street use, and be stepped lip wheels.
It would be really simple to use two outer lips to make, let's say, for example, a 4.0" wheel comprised of two 2.0" outer lips.
Would this be an issue structurally? Do outer lips lack the rigidity of an inner barrel? Am I overlooking something?
