Got the M3 carpet out last night, thanks to the previous owner of that car almost nothing was fastened together so I was able to get that and the headliner stuff out in an hour. Just need to get the sunroof cover off and I'll be good. The carpet however was in rough nasty shape and is grey. So to remedy that I invested in some cleaner and some duplicolor and a brush. This was my second go with spray painting a carpet.

Honestly dont know if this is puke or what but it got scrubbed.

      Cleaned and vacuumed

      Painted

Cross hatch when you spray!!! Brush it in!!!! This came out really well compared to my previous attempts. Getting tires done tomorrow and will be driving it this weekend so I might hold off on the carpet and interior swap for a weekend. We shall see

I've used it in the past with good results, the biggest thing though is to brush it in softly in between coats to keep it soft. I did it 3 years ago to a different car I had and to this day it still looks good. I used Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric paint

Seems that this shit lasts forever. I'd only be worried about fade on the rear deck panel if I were to use it.

I've brought back a few rear deck panels with it before, it has held up well.

Good to know as I'll be doing almost a complete tan to black swap on the hellrot either this fall or next spring. I have had 0 time to work on it.

So I swapped tires around in the effort that I would be able to save $100 on tires lol. I put 205/40 nankangs up front and 205/45 federals on the rear. The federals were up front originally so I felt like I should be able to get it to work. I was wrong.

I called my favorite local tire shop to supply me with some fresh 205/40s and dropped them off to get mounted. Next day I picked them up (shout out Firestone in Shrewsbury if you're local) and tossed them on. Rolled the car out to see how bad it would run still, keep in mind I havent done any fenderwork yet

The conclusion I came too was that with the factory camber arms I had to grind and shave the inner lip of the quarter to fit these wheels, so I busted out the flap disc and went to town. Took it on another test drive

The car still runs a touch which I will address tomorrow. Also in store for tonorrow I am dropping off the M3 kit to get painted, and this week I am officially tackling the interior swap. So with the trip to OCMD coming up, and no car to bring it looks like I will be trecking down in this car. Hopefully by this time next week the car will be all set, but given my track record something funky will go down.
