  • 1970 Jaguar XJ6 SoCal $5700

    Video of car:

I had plans of bagging this car and throwing some 16x8 and 16x9 BBS RS' on it but I have too many projects and too little time. 1970 Jaguar XJ6 has been fully gone through and can be driven anywhere! It turns heads everywhere it goes. The car drives straight, rides smooth and has plenty of power. Please read before calling or texting. If you need approval from the wife or girlfriend then don't bother calling. This is a perfect running car that does 80mph on the freeway all day long, handles, stops and looks great. However, please keep in mind that it is a 47 year old car!

Body: Body is in very nice shape and rust free.

It has been repainted and all the panels line up and gaps are even. Paint is several years old and has held up really well. Single Stage paint that polishes up really well. Only a few small cracks (nickel size) in a few spots.
The rear windshield seal has been replaced
New windshield rubber seal is included with the sale of the car (not installed). Water does NOT leak inside the car.
All of the chrome and trim is in very nice condition.

Brakes: All of the brakes have been rebuilt and/or replaced. This is a big job to do on these older jaguars, so the new owner will have the assurance that the new brakes will be safe and will last them for a good while.

The power brake booster was rebuilt
    New master cylinder
Rebuilt all four brake calipers within the last year
New rotors and pads on all 4 corners
New front and rear brake hoses.
Drivetrain: Very reliable, easy to maintain and plenty of power.

Goodwrench Chevy 350 cu in. crate motor mated to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission.
The engine casting number is 10066036
    New Holley 390cfm carburetor
The drive shaft and half shafts all have new u-joints.
    New Electric Radiator Fan
    New remote starter Solenoid
New Ignition Switch - Don't have to worry about that old Ignition switch failing and leaving you stranded!
Suspension: The suspension is solid and doesn't squeak or make any unusual noises. With several new bushings throughout.

    Brand new 205/75R15 tires.

Interior: The interior is presentable but could use some attention.

The upper headliner surround pieces have been reupholstered in black.
The driver seat is still very comfortable but the bottom straps for the passenger seat are worn and it sags in the middle.
The top of the rear seat has some cracking due to age and sun damage.
All of the power windows operate.
All of the dash instrumentation panel lights work.
    The dash has some cracks.
New draught exluders "furflex" were sourced from XKs Unlimited and installed on the inner door edges.
    Things to note:

We bought this car with the fuel tank on the left side (driver) inoperable, it had not been in use for an unknown amount of time.
The car only uses the fuel tank on the right side.
The AC seems to have worked at one point not too long ago but the lines are free of refrigerant and the Sanden 508 AC compressor leaks from the fittings when trying to recharge it.
The AC Compressor clutch does engage when the AC is turned on. I suspect the AC will a service and recharge. The heater is all there and all the knobs turn freely and engage but it doesn't blow air through the vents, maybe a bad blower motor?
We lost the stereo faceplate but with a new stereo/cd deck the stereo system and speakers will work.
Speedo and Tach inoperable. They are not hooked up; common with most chevy conversions.
