    Default E36 || bbs lm

    Finished the wheel rebuild and took some half decent photos of the car. Still a large list of things that have yet to be completed (most notably the suspension - ha), but this should give a pretty good indication for the final vision. Will update this thread as it approaches final form. Cheers.

    Damn the car already looks great, interested in what still needs to be completed.

    Thanks guys!

    As for what still needs to be done, the car will be getting an OE air-box w/ drop-in AEM dryflow filter this week. After that will be some additional routine maintenance (spark plugs, valve cover gasket, etc.). The only substantial modification that remains is the suspension, which will likely end up being a set of ST XTA coilovers.

    BBS LM are some of my favorite wheels ever. BBS and BMW are like peanut butter and jelly! Great work and photos!

    Great looking combo, if it were mine I'd reverse mount those LM's.

    For sure! I know LMs are not an overwhelmingly popular option for the car (due in part to the relative rarity of the wheel), but I couldn't be happier.

    Cheers! Hopefully it'll be back and better than ever next spring.

    Appreciate it! The color is slightly different from the original BBS Gold (difficult to match perfectly), but overall I'm happy with the finished product.

    Thanks! I must be one of the few that prefers the face-mounted aesthetic, but I wanted to keep them true to original above all else.

    Leaves are finally changing in TN, figured I'd take the car out a few more times while the weather is nice.

    Instead of starting a new thread, figured I'd bump an old one.

    Thank you very much! I am really happy with the end result, glad I was able to find a set of LMs.

    It sounds like the sticker is pretty universally distracting. I know it's a bit silly and over the top but the 90s were a time of some crazy car stuff, even to the point of being tacky. I figured if BMW could get away with the ltw wing I could pass off one sticker. But it'll be coming off soon, as well as having the fogs replaced finally.
