  • New E21 owner and new to Stanceworks

    Hello everyone,
my name is Ryan and recently just picked up a 1983 320is. I am not new to BMW's but am new to E21's. my background is mostly E46 and a little with E30.
So far its been an awesome car, i know there is a lot more awesome to pull from it though. i will be starting a build thread fairly soon on it. i have a pile of parts waiting to be put on it already. I will talk more about the my goals with the car, but overall, I'm looking to get it fairly reliable and just go through it and replace a bunch of stuff that has probably never been. I want to keep it fairly stock looking but adding some personal touches.
thanks for looking, here are a couple of pictures of it.

Definitely suggest using something like Flickr or Photobucket to host your images for posting here!

Looks like a good solid foundation, and welcome to StanceWorks!

Car looks really good. As a fellow BMW owner, just be sure the turn signal stalk is in a non-functioning condition before committing it to a daily driven life.

Also, not sure if you were going for it or not, but the second picture really looks like a glimpse back into the 80s. Good work.

Thank you!! im curious about the turn signal stalk. why do you say that?
Yes, i was kind of going for the 80's look in that pic. thank you! its my favorite era.

thanks!, basically preserve it. i started a build thread on bimmerforums, but going through most of the car and restoring all of the suspension. PO heated the springs and trashed the suspension.
im installing H&R springs, bilsteins and eurometric bushing kit. i will be doing a few minor personal touches without losing too much of its originality. will be changing out all the rubber fuel lines and tank seal. also will be doing a cooling system overhaul and adding a/c to it.
