Default Diesel 'Dub' (A tale of two TDIs)

So with my commute this year, and my M3 getting on the back burner, I needed a practical daily.

So I went to go look at a TDI in Vermont today, and drove it home (It averaged 43mpg on the way)

It's a little rough around the edges, but it should do the job.
I plan to leave it stock through the winter at least...
...then I will start thinking about air

I'm new to VWs in general, so any help would be appreciated.

Nice. Seems look a good car. I love those TDI's! I'm a 1.8t guy, though.

This car ended up being a piece of junk and has caused me more than a few headaches...
The through the fall and winter this car has been in and out of the repair shop from many reasons:
Cracked oil pan at stock height
    A very needed brake job
    Brake warning light
    Brake warning light again
    Airbag light
    Airbag light again
    Seized lock cylinder
Broken key (The only one I had)
    Key programing at VW
    Clutch
    Flywheel
and many more things that I was able to mend myself.

The good news is that it is still a great commuter car...
It gets about 43 miles to the gallon on the Connecticut back roads that I commute on.
I found out that it has a 2004 engine, which is cool I guess. It's good for 20 more horsepower or something...
It now has some upgrades like a skid plate, and some aesthetic modifications.
I'll take some pictures when I get it back from the garage this week.

It looks even more like a piece of junk, but it's cooler than stock.
I'm working on a deal for some cheap, played out wheels.
I plan to be good to go for the UConn car show on April 9th. That's the plan anyway...

I'm fine, I was t-boned and hardly felt it, went up an embankment, and avoided a 5 foot diameter tree... If I wasn't low it would have flipped me into the tree...

I'm living in Storrs, but I call pretty much all of Northeast CT home.

Plans as of now are to go and look at a white 2006 tdi Jetta in Keene, NH on Saturday. I was looking at this E30, and I'll still probably get it, but I need a daily driver.

    ^^That's great! haha

We did have a lot of fun though... This picture has one of my housemates in it.

I pumped the tunes, and the cop that was directing the traffic asked me for the band's name.

I've cracked the oil pan on this car 4 times, all with a skid plate, once when it was at stock height, and this didn't crack it...

    Haha this is pro!

I cant stand other drivers sometimes/always, where was this accident? The road looks very familiar, maybe because I'm in Storrs too I'm up at UConn.
