Boring Out Lug Nut Holes - Gotti 140

Got a set of Gotti 140 2pc splits for my MX5. Problem is the wheels are 4x98 PCD and the MX5 is 4x100.

I'm going to use wobble nuts, but the wheel wont actually go over the studs atm . Is it safe to bore these out by about 1mm? Shall I do it on a pillar drill/mill or will a hand drill suffice lol

Test the lug seats with a magnet, they might be steel inserts. In that case you may or may not be able to enlarge them, depends on wall thickness.
A mill or a large drill press would be best. Also, what tooling do you have available?
