  • Welding/widening Aluminium Borbet T wheels

    Hey, i have a set of 16x9 Borbet T rims, chopped in half and going to widen them by 3 inches so total of 12 inches wide

    a mate TIG'd on of them halfway, but his welder is no more so i need to do it myself...
    i have to weld them up with a MIG im lending a workshops welder, i'v welded a lot of steel but never alu, anyone that can teach me really quick?

    How are you going to use MIG? Spoolgun?

      Yeah there's not really another choice besides a spool gun. Plus I hope the machine is bigger than a 140, you have to run waaaay more juice into aluminum
