  • Need a wheel offset expert to check my math....

I know the offset/wheel size questions have been beaten to death in here and in most forums but I think it's because there's lot's of people like me who just get confused by all of it no matter how much it's explained to us.

I appreciate the weariness of the question, but I really need some help here.

I'm currently running a staggered set of M Parallel wheels on my 1989 BMW E24.

The current rear wheels are: 18 x 9.5 with an et of 25 - tires are: 265/35/18

The current front wheels are: 18 x 8.0 with an et of 13 - tires are 235/40/18

Currently both front & rear wheels with the current tires all fit perfectly with no rubbing or binding issues at all and the suspension was at stock height.

The new rear wheels going on will be: 18 x 9.5 with an et of 30 - tires will be 275/35/18

The new front wheels going on will be: 18 x 8.0 with an et of 32 - tires will be 235/35/18

And I have lowered the car 0.75" of an inch.

If I calculated everything right, I'll need at least a 5mm spacer for the new rear wheels, and a 20mm spacer for the new front wheels to make all four of them sit where the current wheels are sitting now. (more or less)

All I'm looking for here is a yay or a nay regarding my math, and assumptions regarding the size spacers I'll need to compensate for the new offset locations of the new wheels..

If I am wrong, then please tell me which size spacers to use.

    Thanks.....
