  • A Swedish Meatball.

Well, its a 98 Volvo V70 XC (awd). It's on Ferrari 348 wheels, 17x7.5 and 9 with some substantial adapters.

It's a frankenstein of lowering bits. These cars are not (at all) low friendly. Rear is self leveling units that are spaced heavily to lower it, front is coilover springs. All of the current suspension is temporary. Starting to acquire air ride accessories. Future plans involve swapping this automatic (never sold with a manual option in the states) over to a 5 or 6 speed, upgrading the turbo to a stock unit/management from an R model.

here's some perspective on how much it's come down already. these cars are stupid tall.

the headlights suck balls, so i built these with WRX headlights. Im ordering plastic lenses so i can deflute the projector portion. the ABM lights for these look very.. honda civic.

oh and I'm also building dis.

Did you pick these wheels up off the guy with the swedishmetal '98 v70r? Very well executed, I like this a lot! XC's are very rarely lowered, if ever, but this is proof that they should be more.

Thanks! ya, I've noticed. I actually really like the bare gray textured trim on these more than the R and base model trim/bumpers. Interiors on the other hand.. I really want charcoal gray R stuff.

Thanks! no, I actually shared a picture of that particular car on my fb and a friend of mine ended up having a set of them in storage from a 348 that he inherited years prior and changed over to aftermarket wheels. He offered them to me for a killer price, and I had to do it after seeing that car. They are crazy positive offsets (+48 front and +69 rear) so the adapters are a little big but with the right math they fit fantastic. In the future i'd like to do what he did and find another pair of rears for the front, even though I kinda dig the stagger, wider is always better.
