VW Lupo Idea

I am 16 years old and looking to buy my first car but from that I would love to slam it and create a clean stance car. I am looking at a VW Lupo as a starting car because I have seen lots of clean modified ones that I would love to base a build off of.

The sort of Lupo I would love to build is attached as an image but I would love some people input on if there are any cheaper and cleaner cars that I can modify as my problem is tax and insurance?

My bad on the image, I posted late at night in the UK and so was not concentrating when researching but I was just wanting some other ideas on cars that are cheap on insurance for a 17 year old and also look nice when modified?

Sadly there's no such thing as cheap insurance if you're 17. Especially if you're wanting to modify the car properly.

Best to look for something that's 1.2 ltr, maybe 1.4 ltr at the most, but a Lupo or Golf are solid choices imo.

Golf and Lupo are both good choices, the insurance still probably wont be cheap but it'll be cheaper than most other cars.
