  • Three piece gurus! I need your help!

I purchased a set of vs-kf in 18x8/9 +33. I want to rebuild these wheels to 18x9.5 +15/20 or as close to that as possible. I believe the faces are O disk faces based off of the spec chart I found. I do not know lip or barrel sizes just yet as the wheels have not arrived yet! I don't mind rebuilding completely, I just want my specs to be as close as possible.

    Thanks in advance guys!

In the front, add 1.5" to your lip width and you'll wind up at 18x9.5 ET 14. You could also add 1.0" to the lip, 0.5" to the barrel, and add a 7mm spacer to reach 18x9.5 ET 20.

In the rear, subtract 0.5" from your barrel width and add 1.0" to your lip width and you'll wind up at 18x9.5 ET 14. You could also add 0.5" to the lip, leave the barrel alone, and add a 7mm spacer to reach 18x9.5 ET 20.

I don't know whether lips and barrels with those kind of specs are available for Works, but there you have it.

Thanks for your help! This is the only spec sheet I found that had my wheels specs on it so I assumed they were O disk

Alright, looks like the stock lips are metric and are close to X+1/4" and X+3/4" sizes, rather than even inches and half inches, which is going to complicate things a bit.

EDIT: Keep ignoring this shit, see below.

The only aftermarket lips I can find in three seconds of Google searching are even inches and half inches, which is going to make hitting your target challenging.

If you can get real-deal Work lips and barrels, you could do 95mm lips and 145mm barrels, which would give you 18x9.5 ET 20.

If you can only get even inch and half inch barrels, the closest you'll get are 3.5" lips and 6" barrels, which will give you 18x9.5 ET 33. 4" lips with 5.5" barrels would give you 18x9.5 ET 8. If you can go a half inch wider, you could do 4" lips and 6" barrels, for 18x10 ET 20.

One last request, then I'm done I promise lol could u run Those numbers as 9" wide with 4" lips and 5" barrels? please

Hey, I just realized I think I'm a retard and did my math above all wrong. A 4" lip and a 5" barrel on an O-disc VS-KF should produce ET 15.

Sorry for any confusion, I dunno what got into my head.

The real deal math is as follows:
Every 1mm you add to the lip subtracts 0.5mm from the offset.
Every 1mm you add to the barrel adds 0.5mm to the offset.

Your front wheels have an offset of 33mm. Front lips are 70mm, barrels 132mm.
                      4" lips are approximately 102mm.
                      5" barrels are approximately 127mm.

                      (102 - 70) / 2 = 32, which subtracts 16mm from the offset for ET 17.
                      (127 - 132) / 2 = -5, which adds -2.5mm to the offset for a final offset of ET 14.5, which rounds to ET 15.

EDIT: Yeah, yeah, rounding errors, eat a dick.

Lol that's kind of the math that I came up with but I don't know anything about wheel rebuilding so I wasn't sure! Thanks for clearing that up man! No worries, we all make mistakes....especially in the realm of math haha
