Hi, this is my first thread i open to show my rim restauration project.
Together with my friend I bought 4 sets of oldskool 4x100 13inch rims.
For the small price we paid we got 16 rims. Now we're beginning with the restoration. This is why it's called 'The ORR project', the Oldskool Rim Restoration Project...
We'll probably take one set at a time and we're starting with the ATS Pepperpot or also called the Käseloch.
These we're really bad restored some and the gold paint is in really bad shape..We're going to sandblast the paint of and repaint it properly. Also by polishing the lips we're going for the proper original looks. Also the old centercaps get a refinish.
For being over 20 years old at least these rims are still in fairly good shape.
Enough talking, everybody wants pictures
I sanded down the original paint on the letters and repainted them.
Probably more pictures coming of the other sets of rims.
We got a set of:
- 13' 1978 Indianapolis-style rims
- 13' Centra Pepperpots
- 13' Centra Type 7
