So in may 2013 i bought a 99 obs with 85,000 miles. The paint on the fenders and hood was rough but the rest of the car was pretty nice and i only paid 1400 for it because the back wheel bearings needed replacement.

so nothing really new to report but hopefully this spring i will be putting on isc coilovers on and getting 18x8.5 xxr 521s with tires from a friend for a great deal. Not exactly dying to run xxrs but for my first low set up and for the deal that im getting itll be fine. It may take a bit of camber to fit them on my car so we will see what happens.

so im considering doing Isc n1 coilovers or BC BR extreme low. I was originally planning to go with the isc n1 because i had a friend who highly suggested them and i found a company who can me them for $850 shipped to my door. However im not sure if theyll get me as low as i want and i havent seen anyone on here running isc but i have seen some guys running the bc extreme lows.

Would love some input from some more experienced stancework members.

Ill be watching this, I went rokkor for my forester but that's what it had when it was 1.5" lower and it rode great. Wanted bc but those were out of my budget when I needed new coils asap.

love your forester seeing it and another forester build on here made me want to trade my car for a forester but i figured i might as well just keep it since i dont see to many of these stanced.

I was thinking racelands originally (i know whats everyones thinking "fuck racelands theyre junk) but my main goal is just to get low honestly. its my daily driver i wont be tracking this car. but a good friend of mine whos opinion i value highly sent me a photo of a very fucked up raceland coil from his friends wrx and that has discouraged me.

im just trying to find a good budget coil which is becoming easier said than done for these cars.

sorry for the long paragraphs lately with no photos. winter isnt time for much progress.

Yeah just save your self the future headache. Take 400.00 you'll spend on craplands and save another 400-600 and buy something that'll last/rebuildable and get you low

My only reason to get rokkor again, was due to the ones being on the forester was fine, just seized since they were never taken care of properly, and like I said they rode find for how low it was. I have the new set a little higher up, but they still look brand new to me.

I did really want a "better set", but since I don't keep cars long at all, the other set lasted 2-3 years, and I was on a super tight budget, I figured they are fine.

If you want to try to free up the other set I have lemme know. Ive been hanging on to them so I can work on them sometime so I can sell them for a little more.

i could always try it out and see what i could do with them. i imagine theyre wrx fitment so i would have to swap top hats to make them fit im not 100% on what id have to do exactly.

anyway have some news since ive posted earlier today

so today i purchased this rare edm hvac trim in a marble finish from a vendor on another subaru forum. To my knowledge this piece is one of 2 in the states. woohoo for rare parts

so excited to get this in the mail and put it in my car. pics to follow upon installation but for now heres a picture from the original for sale thread.

this is a good start to my long term goal of making this a very clean super detail oriented show car. im only 20 and im in college so itll be slow going, but im looking to the future with this car.
