Some of you might have seen our previous Polonez builds that I shared here on the board. In addition to my own green VR6 car, its become a habit to buy a cheap Polonez once in a while and slap a set of wheels on it for fun Here is our latest one - a rare hearse made from the pickup delivery version of the late model Polonez Caro Plus.
The front springs were cut in half (4.5 coils remain out of the original 9), and we modified the lower control arm mounts for some camber adjustment. The rear was more complicated because the differential is mounted differently than in the standard Polonez, and simply changing the leaves wasn't going to be work. We ended up rewelding the shock and leaf spring mounts on the differential housing, so that now the diff sits above the leaves as opposed to hanging below.
Wheels are BBS RS knockoffs sized 16x8 and 16x9 with 195/40 and 215/35 tires.
