So my question is what do you think about " The pocket money golf MKII" of my friend Georgi ?!? Thanks for all positive or negative advices and coments!!!
Hi guys my name is Georgi and I’m from Bulgaria, and this is my car, everything started in 2010 when for the first time I drove the car and I didn’t realize how much I love my car…But on the point, this car is in my hands since my grandpa passed away, so it’s very important to me and I started my project in his honor because I didn’t want to be just another golf mk2, who will became a rust bucket and go for trash…so I started to save money even before I got my driver license. I wanted to save enough money and after that to start the project, but the Murphy law was in his full power…so…that happened and forced me to start my project earlier…
I took my car, for repair and repaint and meanwhile I bought a recaro seats from golf mk2 gti and gti wide lip:
My car wasn’t ready yet so I started to look for rims…2 weeks I search every single city in Bulgaria for some nice steel rims(in that period of time a was mad about steel rims
)… and soon I got lucky and I bought my very first wheels: Mangels powertech 13x7 et25 with nice bridgestone potenzas 185/60/13 but I didn’t stop just with the wheels I bought head and taillights (I liked them before but now…) and I put some stickers in some places and I finished my money(I’m a student…anyway )
I drove my car like this for a long time because I was more excited about going to a parties not to continue my project, but I’ve got sick of getting drunk so I start my project again!! I forgot to tell that I bought a suspension just for the front FK damper with AP springs -60mm I hadn’t got money for more, but as I said I stopped getting drunk so I save some money and I bought suspension for the back again FK damper (with high and stiff regulation) and weitec springs…and because I was mad about steel wheels I gave my “mangels” for these 14x8.5 with Uniroyal rainsport 195/45/14 and I’ve changed front spring with another AP but -75mm and i think I started to like what I see and to create an image for what I want to do with my car…
I drove these wheels about 4 or 5 months but they were too heavy for my 1.3L LPG engine, so I decided to change them for some 15” alloy wheels 8J оr wider…and because I roll the fenders in the back to much I fucked up my new paint and I’ve got an idea and bought some fender plastics (sorry I don’t know the word in English) from golf 2 syncro. And for some reason I got lucky and in my hand were some Zender wheels 7j et25 in the front and 8j et0 in the back. On the next day I bought nankang 185/45/15 and 20mm spacer for the front wheels and 195/45/15 for the back and I polished the wheels…
After a little time I’ve thrown away crystal taillights and I put hella black and for about 2 months I was happy…BUT…I didn’t like what I see on the front of the car, the rims where to narrow and the rubbers haven’t got any stretch..so I decided to look for something like 8j in the front and 8 or 9 in the back again 15”. And I got lucky again (usually I don’t have any luck ) I found “powertech” wheels 8j et25 on the front and 8j et15 on the back. On the second I bought 15mm spacers for the back I put my 20mm from the zenders on the front and I made an order from Germany for 2 brand new nankang 185/45/15. I bought brand new coilovers TA-Technix with 100mm lowering and about 75-80 in the back and this was what I’ve looked for…stretch which is not too big, but not too small and fitment tight, but not too much …well I think I’ve talked(wrote) too much…so this Is the final result for now, I have some plans for the future, but my project it’s too low budget and for now I’m waiting for some jackpot
