  • Tire size advice.

I asked this on NASIOC an got a bunch of old chodes telling me I ruined a car. SO, I came to where I'm accepted. I'm currently running a 225 40 18 on an 18x9 +34 setup on my bagged SVX. Right now, I'm hitting the frame with my tire, and the only way to solve that is a smaller wheel/tire combo. With that being said, I'm not asking if I should, because I am. I just want to know what you guys would think would be better. I'm deciding between two different setups:

    225 35 18 on my same 18x9's

    or

215 40 17 on a 17x8.5 (same exact wheel, just an inch smaller).

The 17's will drop the car an extra 10mm compared to the 18's, but I freaking love my 18's. Plus, they'll easily tuck wheel in the front which 17's probably won't deliver. Thoughts?

Side note: I still want a performance feel to this. I daily drive the car, but I'm not brutal on it and I know how to parallel park. I'm leaning towards the 225 35 18.
