  • Ssr mk1 splitting

Just about to import a set of SSR mk1s from japan. I have heard different things, can they be split? Can I get wider dishes?

SSR lists them as a 3 piece design but I've definitely seen some people writing they had their lip and barrel welded together. Nonetheless, I've seen sets one pictures that were certainly not welded so I imagine you will be able to split them just like any other 3p set, however don't take my word for it I've never owned a set myself.

Please let us know how it turned out, I'd be looking at a set of them myself sometime.

Thanks man. Hopefully they will be split-able. Any idea where the best place for dishes is? If they are welded can you get the welds undone? Ill definately put some pictures up when they get here.
