316i is just too high

Recently found myself a 1989 bmw 316i. Job one is lowering a because it just must be done, and b because it has knackered shocks. Looking for some advice about what coilies i can run. In an ideal world i wanted air but its just not in the budget right now so static drop it is. Any help and advice is appreciated.
