  • my 2004 scion xB

2004 scion xB. I totaled it a few years back and it sat tarped for 3 years. Then I finally had the funds to re build it. Well here's how she sits today.

here's a list of whats been done to it.

    JDM 1st gen bumper.
    JDM 1st gen headlights
    JDM optional motorized parking pole.
    Spirits rear wing
    Replica eSam visors
    Yakima rack

    D2 Racing coilovers
    Monroe rear air shocks
ESM 002 Wheels(know you guys dont like reps, but I park outside and pretty sure anyhtign legit would have a high chance of getting stollen)
2zero6 Factory 15mm rear hub spacers
    2zero6 Factory -3 rear shims

    Blitz Nur Spec exahust

All work was 100% done by me in my driveway. Rebuild, welding paint and all

Here is a photo collage of the major changes over the past 2 years.

Yeah, it was a hard enough hit that it broke 2 motor mounts and pushed the motor against the fire wall. Pretty much what happened was I rear ended some one, and both where so hard on the brakes that the ass end went up, my nose went down(and I was already lowered) that my crash bar went under theres. So my sheetmetel and motor took all the impact.

quick update for this summer. I am now running air. I switched up my blitz exhaust for a 5zigen from japan. Also picked up the full jdm zenki rear end.

Just finished the install today, but didnt get around to re installing the rear camber.

                  Wow, that looks great!

Those JDM parts really make the car look classy.

I wonder why toyota thought that america would want the license plate on the trunk.

actually in 2004 toyota in japan gave the bB the same bumpers/hatch as the xB. The reason is for crash bars. With 2000-2003 rear bumper you cant fit a crash bar behind it and with the 2004-2006 you wouldn't be able to fit the plate in the bumper with the crash bar

And now I know hahaha. Thanks for the info.

If you get rear ended, won't the insurance adjuster notice that there is no crash bar?

yeah probably I need to buy a second JDM front beam. With no brackets you can JUST squeeze a jdm front beam into the rear.
