  • New to Stance, suspension question...

I'm new to the forum and absolutely LOVING how well received cut springs are on this site. I just have a simple question. I just bought a 98 E36 318ti for $750, i already got some E46 wheels for now, gonna get some spacers and Im going to cut the springs to obtain low low and call it a day for now. My question is how many coils should I cut for about a 3" drop. Most likely its going to be trial and error but just trying to save some time. Thanks for not flaming!

well sir to answer your question starting with less is always better...

Start by cutting 1 or 2 coils, fit them and drive, if you want more, cut more.

As you know you can't put them back together if you cut too much off initially.

But yes imho, buy something like Raceland Ultimos, although not the best for $300-400 couldn't go wrong compare to cutting stocks :/

Thanks for the info but Unfortunately Raceland doesn't make coilovers for the Ti.
