Also they seem to have some special kind of bolds,
some are screwed form the back, some have "nuts"
pressed onto the bolts...
Are there any replacment bolts for the pressed ones?
I'm also in for answers. I just bought a set of bbs moda (going to pick em up tomorrow) and they have a very very similar 2 piece configuration where some of them were basically riveted and some had nuts on the back. If they have nuts im 90% sure you can pound the studs out and replace them. From what I know, BBS no longer sells the rivets/studs for these wheels. I think you can use an RM bolt/ RS nut combo on them though. I will let you know when I pull them apart how mine are.
Pininfarinas, Bugattis, Modas are all 2 piece wheels which use a similar construction. They use a different configuration than that of the BBS RM. Face and barrel is separate (like the BBS LM) instead of the Lip and Face/Barrel like that of the RM. They all use aircraft single use tacbolts which require cutting off in order to take the face off the barrel.
If you are trying to refinish them, just to give you a heads up, BBS RM or RS bolts will not work for them as the diameter of the bolt hole is simply much larger. The best solution we have come across would be actually using Work bolts which is only slightly smaller. According to an ex BBS employee which use to build race wheels for them, the bolts are actually pressed in hydraulically by a large press which causes the bolt to expand as it enters the bolt hole. There are simply no replacement bolts for those.

Might be true for the Pininfarinas and Bugattis but not for the Modas. I picked mine up today and took em apart. The faces have studs pressed into them from the front with regular 12 point nuts on the back side. Undid the nuts and tapped the face out no problem. The studs were only lightly pressed into the face, I just pressed them out as well.

Yes, RS722 is 2 piece. I said that it will now be popular to rebuild 2 piece BBS in 3 piece configuration. About the rivet/bolts on these wheels, I was always curious so thanks for the info!
Just to expand on this, a friend of mine recently bought some RSII and they came with tacbolts as well. I was sure they were going to have a nut. Clun9, which work bolts can we use to reassemble them after I refinish them?
