  • 5x112 wheels on 5x108 ?

I bought a set of 5x112 wheels which I want to fit to my 5x108 Volvo.

They're not far off fitting so I was planning to get the holes drilled out from M12 to M14 which will allow them to fit and then use PCD variation nuts with custom spigot rings to bring the centre bore down to the right size.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience/advice in this?

Or should I just wing it and go for it?

PCD variation nuts only allow for 2.4mm of movement so you could run 5x112 wheel on a 5x114.4 car or 5x109.6 car but not down to 5x108. You need adapters or a redrill.

QFT, I tried this on some BBS propus (volvo 5x108) wheels on my mkv (5x112). They were to tight and wouldn't sit right with PCD variation bolts and rings. It is one of the cheapest redrills out there and metal inserts are used so its strong. Should be less then 120 for a whole set to be done.

Instead of drilling the holes from M12 to M14 why not just have them changed from 112 to 108 and save yourself the cost of buying the variation bolts. Surely the overall costs would be more or less the same and probably a better option to do the latter.
