  • Über low on rear coils. E46 help

So I fitted some fk ak streets to my e46 last week and while I'm really happy with how low I can get the front , the backs are awful as when fitted with adjusters they sat higher than my 50mm lowing springs before them,so question is how o you guys do it , iv already removed the adjusters but won't go low enough on 225/40/18 tyres. I can cut a coil off my other springs as there thinner than the fks so might compress more but that's really a last resort.

Here's a pic to show what I mean alo posted this in the intro section too

get some wheel spacers to make it look less obvious.
can see your rears look sunk in comparison.

Looking at getting some 10-20mm hubcentric spacers at rear. Fronts already have 5mm for clearance but it just seems really high compared to other on similar setups.

take the perches out. these things:

then put the springs back in (just like the oem ones were). then you should be good to go.

Iv already removed all that only have spring and oem rubber cup. And that's how it sits in my photo.

Just nip some coils off the springs. Or take the rubber cups out?

Try taking the rubber cup out, that should let you go lower by just a tad

take out your locking collars first. This is the rear of my car, fender sits just about on the lip, my perches are in without the lock rings. I may take the whole perch out to tuck.

Edit. You already did. Yeah that blows man, take the perch out and get shorter springs.

Trying to find shorter springs is the hard part as I don't know what I'm looking for as the fk street springs are tiny compared to the 40 mm lowering ones I had in before

e36rjbmw- yours looks exactly were I want to be. All I have is the spring and rubber cup so its kinda throwing me , don't want too loose the rubber cup as its for even distribution of the spring pressure and Iv seen them without that crack through the Ali arm.

Glad I'm not the only one with this problem. I'm on fk highsport (or silverlines, I forget) and rear is low down as possible but got like another inch left to go for front if you solve it I'd love to know
