So, last night I went and picked up an e28 to drive while I work on my e36. It's SO much easier to get a car through body and paint when you don't DD it!
Anyway, I picked up this e28 535is bone stock. 192k miles, auto, decently clean. But with a serious 4x4 look and stock bottlecaps and got to work IMMEDIATLY. Within 3 hours, we had it looking much better.
Well, that'll never do. Soooo, we got to work right away. With the help of Ben and Paulo we have it sitting decent now (not slammed but decent).
First things first, we got rid of the stock headlights in favor of a set of e34 projectors, and Mercedes yellow high beams. Then we added 6k HID's into the projectors.
Afterwards, we replaced the door handles that had been painted body color (see first pic) with a set of OEM black.
The cut the springs to get it down. 2 coils off the front, 4 off the back. Oh... and added a set of 16" BBS meshies.
Not too shabby for 1 nights worth of work. I need to tuck bumpers now and fix a few things that are bugging me... like the twist in the front bumper, and the valance that's warped. The wheels need spacers all around, roll the fenders, etc... Just thought I'd share.
