  • Mk1 Rabbit, A bit to low for winter.

So this is my winter car an 82 MK1 diesel Rabbit.

Before I bought it my friend was welding in some floor patches and I sorta rolled it...

Cracked the windshield and dented the roof... Sunroof still works!

The hood fits nicely under a semi.

Its now on its 3rd oil pan. The second was reinforced but I still managed to mushroom it up and snap the cast aluminium oil pick up. Just got her back on the road today.

This is with the 2nd oil pan and thats a 2x4 under it, can't fit your credit card between them.

I love it. Of course anything old and rusty is beutiful in my book. I say slam it and leave it alone.

Summer car? Well it would be a minty fresh mk2 jetta coupe or a 64 Mercedes that i'm working on at the moment.

The door was off a caddy (rabbit truck) that we pulled out of a field and turned in to a trailer. It was super rusty under it.

If i slam it any more the engine will constantly rub the ground so when it gets warmer out the engine is going up 1 to 2 inches and the cars going lower.
