Nice dude, that answered all I wanted to know! Decided to remove the front bumper off of mine after coming across your thread. Thinking of matte blacked valance on stock silver paint.

Still have the car, or not?

Hey man, quick question from Australia about your dope E28.

We have Euro bumpers over here, and the bottom of your front lip looks a little different than normal.
Just wondering if that's the way it came, or if you've done anything to it yourself.

    Love the car <3

Ya I don't know how I missed that. Guess I just glanced over it. Whenever I see photos like that with the color effects I tend to not look at the car that closely. The almond does look great, but I still think the rear bumper takes away from it. Other than that its a beautiful car.
lol I guess the exhaust isn't that bad but its enough to get a violation, so I'm playing it safe and using my bike for a daily. having double the mpg doesn't hurt either I guess these are thirsty beasts, I can't imagine what you would get after a turbo lol

Almond huh? I'd have to see that.. let me know when you get pictures of it up.
I'll have to get some pictures up too sometime but I'm busy working, I haven't even driven the beemer in over a week. I've been having too much fun daily'ing my bike project, a yamaha fj600. Also the beemer has a deafening exhaust leak and is way to obnoxious. rusted hood doesn't help either haha

Mines shadowlined too, just to get rid of the chromeyness. I think its still too common and just doesn't fit that great.
Also don't know what to do with the rear bumper, I don't like it on neither of our cars but It sounds like you've got your eyes on turboing first I wish I had the time to even consider it haha

Still gotta order lowering springs, I'd expect they'd still need some cutting if I want to get low enough. Isn't that what you did? what brand were they?

    holyshit long reply mybad

If the newspaper is for flaws then why'd ya do the c pillar covers? ... jk
Since I've got another pair of those too I'm looking for something creative to do with them.

Everything I'm changing from stock I'm making sure I got on the parts car so it can go back to original if I feel like it. Since we have two hoods we rusted one and its on there now and loving it so far.

Maybe your hood latch is doing something different, but mine wouldn't latch right on the same side unless you really slammed it, and then the second hood wouldn't even then. and then on the highway it comes up enough to get you worried. But once I got the pin on the hood to stick out far enough it worked 100%

Nice e28. Love the newspaper finish. I've got a e28 up here in Canada and it looks like yours a few steps ahead of mine. still gotta lower and ditch the bumper.
Same hood problem lol but I figured out how to fix it. I just took the part off the hood and stuck washers behind it (next to the hood) until the pin pushes far enough to latch. or just leave the belt since its so awesome

edit: or is it from being smashed lol I just remembered that

wish I could say I have a tailight for ya but the same lefty got smashed on mine and I had to borrow from the parts car (always good to have everything doubled)
