Hey, I just picked up a set of HM3s for DIRT cheap and I'm wondering if anyone has any info on disassembling them for refinishing. I'm having trouble puzzling out the 2 piece design. Would it make more sense to polish the lips and paint the centers with the wheels assembled? that way I wouldn't have to have the tires removed. I would have to do some pretty crazy masking though.
Thoughts? Links?

Urgh. Fake splits.
Now you know why you got them for "dirt cheap".

They're still Hamanns and they were still CHEAP. (I bought em for the rubber anyway).
I'll do fun things with paint later...
