View Full Version : Lowering via coilovers + alignment question

Hypothetical here:

I get an alignment, everything is nice. After the fact, I lower one or both ends the car .5-.75" via adjustable coilovers (not touching camber bolts, anything, just lowering the spring/shock assembly down closer towards the hub)

Will this noticeably screw with my toe? I can't imagine it messing up the camber or caster, but then again, I don't know, that's why I'm making this thread.

If anyone can answer that'd be swell

It shouldn't affect it too bad. Definitely not noticeable when driving but if you were to track your car I would get another alignment just to have a perfect setup.

im waiting to get lower front springs, get the right tires stretched then turn the coils all the way down. THEN im getting an alignment, just to be safe

I would just wait on getting an alignment until all your adjustments are done. Assuming you don't drive a few thousand miles in that time period.

Camber affects toe period. I've only done a few alignments a week for the past few or so years. ; ) Toe wears/chops tires like no ones business. You change anything for a period of time, get an alignment....
