ok so i recently installed 25mm spacers in my rear. the specs are now 18x9.5 et20 225/35/18 falken fk452. now after installing these spacers the right side rubs against what i was told to be some plastic cover the protects the gas tank. if any e46'ers can give me some assistance with this please. i was told by a bodyshop that the only solution is to raise my car, or remove spacers. imo complete BS. there has to be a way to either move the plastic cover around and push it higher so that it does not touch the right wheel under load. any help will be greatly appreciated.

heres a pic of the ride side for reference as to my ride height and poke:

for that plastic piece, im not sure, but would anyone know if i can remove it or just force it upwards? cause i can push on the piece and it has about 5-7cm of leeway to go upwards, and i think if it can be done, then there would be no more rubbing

Southpaw may have an answer for ya, I'll wait for him to chime in.

if its just a piece of plastic you could let it rub until the spot that rubs against the tire is gone. :)
