  • which tires to get to a e36?

    Hi,

I have 17" borbet type T's, front 8" wide and 9.5" in the rear. the et is 35, I'm going to run a 10mm spacer in the front.

Would 205/40 in the front and 215/45 i the rear look about right? The car has only 40/15mm drop now, but I'm going to lower it more.

    please help me out

I'm running about the same sizes (Azev A in 8x17 ET35 and 9.5x17 ET30)... in front I run 205/40 and in the rear I run 225/35. The 225 is already quite a bit of stretch on the 9.5, but it could be more extreme - however, if you run 205/40 on the 8, I wouldn'T go narrower than 225 on the 9.5 to keep the stretch at least somewhat uniform all around...

For pics see my build thread.

okay, I read trough your build thread and realised that I may want a little more tire, like 205/45 and 225/45. Any opinion on this? I know the stretch would be minor on the 8" rim, but I don't think it will be a issue.

With those widths and offsets, I think those tire sizes would look pretty shitty considering your car is barely lowered.

Yes, and I decided to stick with bigger tires until I can afford coils.
