Me and my friend (passenger) were rippin down a road by my house that I drive every day. Going about 80 around a turn, usually do the same speed around that turn with no problems. This time there was a car in my lane comming directly at me. I just reacted, slammed the brakes, the ass end drifted out, couldnt counter it before the rear tires hit the yellow lines. We drifted into a tree, ripped it out of the ground, and kept going until we hit the BIG tree, and finally came to a stop. I broke my hand, and my friends femur snapped in 3 places. I learned my lesson that day, never push it with other people in the car (especially thoes you care about, such as best friends), and you never know what could happen, so be cautious.

My first 'car' was a 1990 Ford Explorder (or exploder as I liked to call it) Eddie Bauer edition. The thing had been on 2 trips out west and had over 250,000 miles on it. It had a cracked head on it so instead of buying me a car my Dad decides to get it fixed and give it to me. I drove it in high school then as soon as I got my first summer job working at a state park I traded it in for the Jetta.

I originally had a '94 Trooper. Bet you can guess why I have no pictures of it...haha. It was a gas hog and I never took advantage of going off roading with it.

I actually sold Sean the Integra, and this is how it looked before he got his hands on it. What a transformation!
Then I got an MR2 and pretty much rebuilt then entire engine. Sold it for a VERY nice profit which allowed me to get my E36.

She hit a patch of ice, went into a ravine, and simultaneously hit a telephone pole (which the top snapped off of, fell, and smashed the trunk in)

It's hard to do when there was black ice (my case) which looks just like a wet road, like after a rain. However, in my sister's case, when it is a huge frozen white patch of runoff 2" think from snow melting earlier in the day, then something could have been done.

I know you guys in TX will probably never experience black ice, but it's the scariest fucking thing I've ever experienced.

First car was this bug. Bought it for $500, passed smog even. Did some body work, lowered the front, clean up the engine. Lived in Brasil for 2 years, came back and dad had basically restored it. Had for 1 year after getting home, sold it to get married.

1994 Mustang GT
Got this in a trade with my dad's buddy, straight across for my civic. That was stupid. The a/c didn't work and started burning oil about 6-12 months later. Owned it for 2 years, sold for $3600. Apparently its still tickin'! It ahd springs, exhaust, intake, my dad's old home made fiberglass ramair and the 18x9 cobras, then stockies. Even with the problems, I should have fixed things (except a/c, too much $). I could have done a nice rebuild, then some real suspension and it would have been cool. The front offset is half way decent. Needed lower for sure...The rear's need to be like 11" wide though. THey are sunk in with those 18x9's. The 245's are a decent size too on there. Oh well. Live and learn.

The Mustang was too heavy and no a/c, so I wanted to go civic again cuz of budget. Bought this for $5500 with 95k miles. Good deal until I inspected it more and saw it was hit bad and had 2" stack of washers to space out the upper rear control arm. :( Had to buy these wheels because I bent a wheel and blew 2 tires running over some road debris 2 winters ago. Hopefully I can ditch this once the Minivan is paid off in March '10. :) I'm thinking WRX...

I learned my lesson that day, never push it with other people in the car (especially thoes you care about, such as best friends), and you never know what could happen, so be cautious.

This is the truth. My friend rolled his car off a huge drop with a few of our best friends in it while we were on a spirited drive through canyons by my house. It was a bad case of him going too fast with too little experience and we're lucky everyone walked out. Risking your own life is one thing but I can't imagine how he would have felt had something had happened to one of our friends because of his mistake.

Me and my friend (passenger) were rippin down a road by my house that I drive every day. Going about 80 around a turn, usually do the same speed around that turn with no problems. This time there was a car in my lane comming directly at me. I just reacted, slammed the brakes, the ass end drifted out, couldnt counter it before the rear tires hit the yellow lines. We drifted into a tree, ripped it out of the ground, and kept going until we hit the BIG tree, and finally came to a stop. I broke my hand, and my friends femur snapped in 3 places. I learned my lesson that day, never push it with other people in the car (especially thoes you care about, such as best friends), and you never know what could happen, so be cautious.

I remember when this happened and ben told me about it, so rough.

Bought my e30 when I was 14 for $500, worked on it until I could drive it, sold it for $700 after I crashed it. Ran a 17.9 1/4 mi at high school drags, made it to quarter finals against a r1, I was halfway down the track before his light went. It was slow.

My first car was a 1991 Chevrolet Sprint. Looking back, this was probably the most dangerous bucket of shit anyone has ever driven. Huge holes in the floor, blown shocks, bald tires, it shot flames out the exhaust (regularly), and the brakes lit on fire once. Bought it for $250, sold it for $350 with a gutted interior. :rofl The reason the door is red is because it got tipped over at my grad stag, and all that broke was the window. :rolleyes

Next one was a 1985 FWD corolla. It was an immense step up but over time problems started racking up. The front LCA's where bent and it had a lot of negative camber, and the toe was way off and the tires would wear to belts in a matter of months. On top of that someone smacked a curb in it, and it pulled to the side hard. You can actually see in this pic how far back the front passenger wheel is in the wheel well. The axles where both going out near the end of its use too, and it started having serious temperature issues.

About six months ago I picked up my current car, a '91 EF sedan.When I got it the steelies where black and rusty, and the bump strips around the car where white. After some rattle can work I got it looking a bit cleaner, but a full respray is in the future. Since i bought it I rolled it over 400,000 km's, and blew the head gasket. :rolleyes While I was replacing it I noticed the engine block was from a 92-95 civic, so it's been swapped out at some point. Right now only the front springs are cut down a few coils, and I can't do the rears because the rear LCA bolts and bushings are all seized and fucked up. Low's coming after winter, when I'll hopefully have a job and can afford to replace a whole bunch of things at once.

second was a 98 maxima. turned into a project, got stored for a few years, took it out to build, got flooded before i finished.

I currently own a 99 Infiniti G20. No pictures, nothing to look at.

Although, what I really want is an old 80-83 Corolla wagon with nothing much done but a drop and some nice wheels. I can't get the simplicity of an older car out of my system. I am on a lead for a wagon right now, so hopefully soon I can have that as my daily and rid myself of the G20. Sounds crazy bat shit, but I don't care.

What I had in the past were dozens of 85-87 AE86s.
The favorite one was this one. Wasn't the prettiest, had hacked fenders front and back, sat about 3/4 inch off the ground.

First car, '78 Opel Kadett C Coupé.
White ATS 7x13 and 8x13 wheels and lowered 100+ mm.

really digging this lol :eyebrowsThanks :D Heres some more pictures before it got more lowered. Funny car. Had a small engine, but that 1200 cc engine sounded awesome with that Honda CBR 900 muffler. Missing that little head turner.
