....on stancing a 4th gen Eclipse? I was at a light today, and there was a black 4-cyl model (looks just like the V6, just different wheels) parked at the local Rite Aid, and a random though popped into my head. I think a black one + some coilovers, some (I know your all gonna **** me when I say this) silver XXR (formerly Sport Max) 19"x8.5" 962's in silver/polished lip, with some proper fender rolling/pulling , a mild tire stretch, and possibly some spacers would look pretty fresh. I'd get pics up for reference, but i'm at work.....stupid web filters. Opinions?

Meh.

This one looks alright.

I'm not really a fan, though I wasn't a huge fan of Tiburons but the guy on here's car turned out pretty good. Generally, low + nice fitment = sogood on most cars, although there are some exceptions. I'd have to see it first though.

Honestly, it's their extreme lack of un-popularity that kinda makes me want one. I really wanna do my RX-8 plan, but the "plans" I would have for that car would far exceed my current payscale/budget, so I might settle for a different project for now.

As far as going for a project that's more in budget, there are many better options out there besides an Eclipse. That IMO of course.:stickoutt

Yeah, very played out alternatives.

Yeah, very played out alternatives.

Not necessarily. I've never seen a stanced out Prelude. That could be pretty sweet.

Not a big Prelude fan, but that is a good suggestion. A part of me has almost considered throwing some spacers and coilovers on my SS, lol. I've already rolled the rear fenders b/c even though its only on Sportlines, the tires still bottom out on occasion b/c of how worn my shocks/struts are. As it sits its lowered 1"F/1.5"R w/ 19"x8" Axis Mods (+35mm offset), so it sits nearly flush as it is, just needs mooooarrr low. Considered throwing on some K-Sport Kontrol Pro coilovers on at one point, but I decided I just don't wanna spend any more money on the car b/c i'm tired/bored of it.

Doing things because no one else likes them and doing things that no one else has done yet and may not like are two very different things.

Dude. You've already got the car. You're bored with it because is isn't stanced yet.:D I've NEVER seen a stanced Cobalt either. So with that said. It is time. Do work! :alright

If you were a girl I'd let the eclipse slide. But you're not.

Cobalt stanced would be sweet. I was a ***** until I saw the new SS lap the nurburgring like a champ. I think it'd be a good car to keep.

I'm with you though. I have the desire to STI swap and stance a forester. I think it'd be badass.

Building something you enjoy is what it's all about.

I will add more insight to your question athan asked nd say that even purchasing an Eclipse should be answered with a no. That is any Eclipse, not regulated to 4th gen.

It most definitely would be!

If I could afford it I would do it no doubt. But I'm not going to drop what I have (soon to be swapped e30 to roll around a stock forester. someday maybe.

A clean FC could be sweet stanced. You mostly only see FD's done up.
