I hope this is the right place for this. Okay so when I bought my e30 it had lowering springs on it I don't now the rates but they are about 4.5 in tall and i think the P.O. cut a coil off them. It was still on the stock shocks and now they are blown I like how the car sits so I'm just wondering if i get billy sport shocks do i need to modify the strut to make them last longer or will I be able to just put them in how it is?

Nah they should be fine. I doubt the springs are 4.5" (no offence), but if you do start bottoming it out people have had luck recently cutting a nub off the bumpstop. Back will be fine unless you're tucking hard.

Aren't you not supposed to use aftermarket coils on stock shocks?
Correct me if I'm wrong.. They're not made for that.
But if you like the way it sits more power to you haha.
