one of the little one, C&C appreciated

Went to the zoo today packing only the D300 w/ no grip and the 35mm, as I wasn't planning on taking any aminal pictures, but maybe a few of the kids if I got a chance. Two kids on spring break, and a harried dad does not a good photographer usually make. But managed to get a few shots in. C&C appreciated, tried a new 5 minute edit.

It feels soft to me in focus, I know the dof is really shallow, but for some reason too much seams out of focus....

the shot otherwise is fun, nice expression

Effective DOF was less than an inch, so only things that are in the same plane as his eyes are in focus, hence the haie even going in and out of focus. Something new for me anyway.

Looks good. Image seems a bit "warm" to me. Maybe its just the tones of the shirt and the background and I'm looking at this on an uncalibrated monitor..
