so sucked about he shipping but it was going to work out cheaper then geting some volvo steelies widened.. so im happy

Well yesterday sucked..!!

Couldnt find my heat gun, so didnt get any work done on the guards.. :(
I need to buy one on friday so i can do it next weekend..

did some work on it though...

Weekend just gone..
I fixed the broken heater hose, pulled out one of my front guards to see how much i could get out of the lip..

Not sure why it ripled so much? and my roller doesnt reach out enough so my mate is geting some 30mm spacers for his 240 so going to borrow them and see if that works.. if not ill will flatin them as much as i can and then bog them!!

But otherwise im happy with how the front will be sitting!!!

The sticker idea was a joke between mates, have scraped the idea now anyways so you don't have to worry about that!! The visor I love, not everybodys cup of tea! But wait till the wheels go on and I think people may turn to love it!!

Once guard work is done I don't think the poke will be as bad, but will have to wait and see!! I may end up running a little camber on the front to tuk them in.

Pretty amazed you've got 10s under a 240 to be honest! This is pretty sick, interested to see if you can make the guards look semi respectable though...Looks almost like you could have gotten away with rolling the lips flat and slight pump rather than folding them out?

yea was going to run a rust flat hood of my other 240 but i think it would be to much!
Would love to run single rounds but to much work changing it all over did it on my other though:eyebrows

Like others have said the front needs to come down to dial out the reverse rake but otherwise its damn hot I love 240s esp wagons and esp red ones :stickoutt

I don't think it has as much rake as some think, part of it is that the rear fender flares are a lot lower than the fronts, which makes making it look level almost impossible... almost...

yea its quite hard to make the car look "level" this sits quite level all round but the front guards are so much bigger then the rear so make it look like its not....


once i have get my new exhaust on, i will be dropping the front more so it will have some rack but it will look better :)

dude, my 4/3" downpipe is smashed to fuck at the bottom where it bends to go under the car...

youve got me beat on the rear though...shoulda gone with 10s in the back....need to buy some 1" spacers...

honestly, its low enough that my exhaust hits on the road dots when I change lanes....

I was going to get some x10s for the back....but they want a pretty penny for the 16x10s...to the tune of $180 each plus shipping....eventually I will get them.

Got some stuff done on the wagon yesterday, but thanks to the shitty weather I didn't get as much as i would like done... :(

The motor is ready to come out apart from the mounts and tailshaft.

As you probably have worked out by now, the wagon is getting treated to an sr20det transplant that i had fitted into my Volvo 240 sedan.

Another thing i got around to do, was fitting my side skirts that i had on my sedan.. I'm really not sure if i like them on the wagon yet.

I went through a ruff patch with the car and decided to sell it.. then after a week and so much time wasted from buyers stuffing me around, i decided to keep it and scrap my other projec that was a volvo 240 sr20det and fit all the parts i have for that into the wagon

so thats where I'm at at the moment..

oh and also the suspension i had for my other will be going into the wagon..

meaning
coilover for the fronts
sway bars (40mm rear)
stiff rear shocks
strut brace
also still needing a few other items to finish it off

cant wait till its back on the road

Ill try keep this updated as possible, as i have through the build but check my blog just in case :)

Not really common.. i know of one 240 wagon in the states that did it before i did and then there is a maroon now silver sedan that is rocking it in the states!! I'm quite sure I'm the only one is aus

not a perfect fit it has to sit about 6"s off the firewall to clear the cross-member.. but just new custom engine mounts, gearbox mounts, tail-shaft, cooler, radiator, and then wiring.. just the same as any transplant

Bored and can't sleep haha so though I would do a little update.

I havnt done to much on the car as I still need to get an engine crane :( but I have got both motors completly ready to come out and also purchased some parts

But on the planing side of things I have been busy.. While the car is off the road for the engine swap I have decided on doing a revamp of the exterior.. Not going to revel every thing but it will Include a wheel change.
