How To Weld thread

Can someone make a thread about welding? What kind of welders to use and the basics of welding. this would be a really great help as some of us have never welded before. For example if im trying to change out my rusty floorpans or something. thanks

how about looking locally for classes on how to weld? its not the type of thing that you learn by looking at pictures, nor is it simply put into text. You need to be taught face to face. It's the only way you will truly learn how to weld and how to do it properly.
