hi guys i got a new dslr a few weeks ago its a sony a230.

i just need help on a few functions really if u can

do i set camera into jpg mode or raw??

whats the best mode for shooting cars? manual or aperature?

and when i look at the pics u guys have taken they all seem to be really really clear and have a somewhat glassy effect making them stand out alot better, i cant seem to get this effect and its annoying

any ideas on this??

Raw is the way to go, think of it as a digital negative, it basically means that what you see is what comes out and there is no compression what so ever.

If your new to photography I'd say shoot jpg.
