Remember the pictures of my car with the wheel gap at the front? My oil pan clearance was 2.5 inches then. I'm going to tuck tire :D

Huh. Your car looks lower than that from the outside.
When I had my car sitting like this (http://bochmannphoto.net/Bilder/ifilth/filth3.jpg), before the cops busted my balls, I had exactly 5.5cm / 2.15 inch space at the same spot your phone is lying in the quoted picture.
I would have thought you'd have much less space there, more like 1.5 inch. Then again, it looks a bit ground down there, so maybe you should have less space but don't because it's ground down? :confused:

My friend and I left town to head down to ATL. I live roughly 15 minutes from the interstate exit. We decided we'd see how many times my car scraped on shit before we got to the interstate.
We got to 34 before getting bored. :)

Should have seen Craig behind me in the roadster at EuroWerks. I pulled in the main section angled and cleared fine then I looked in the mirror and he was just rejected instantly......stuck.

very curious about one thing, with most vws, once you get this low, you have to start cutting things, is this the case with bmws or no? when i was still on coils at my lowest last summer i had to remove my sway bar and notch the frame because my axle was hitting them

Thanks. It's static and I daily drive it at this height, my control arms smash the fender wells but nothing is cut. Pic is on perfectly flat ground too.

I like looking at all the pictures of this stuff, but for sure I would not be able to put my car that low and drive it here in New England if I wanted to keep my subframe at all.
bah blasphemy, i live in MA and my town and surrounding are terrible and everywhere in MA for that matter and i drive around slammed everyday. Learn to know where there are pot holes dont go down roads you can't drive on and its easy. Well worth it to me.

I agree. Guys I live in a southern mountainous shit hole town that seems like the civil engineers were 4th graders. The roads are horendous, the worst I've ever seen.....and I still try to do it. Luckily I've lived here several years and know the better roads, but it's still terrible :(

Post a profile shot, cuz from the rear your car looks to have pretty serious wheel gap. Which would lead me to believe you slammed it, took some clearance shots and then lifted it back up.

All my friends from down South tell me how shitty our roads are up here. Road conditions don't really make that much of a difference. Just know your car and drive accordingly.

Sucks to roll hard. I hit this sweet piece of metal on the freeway at 6:50 this morning while on my way to work. It was perfectly flat but it got stuck and bent and I drug it for about 1 mile to downtown Orlando. Was a pain in the ass to get out but I eventually got it. Luckily it only broke my bumper tab and scratch my lip

Control arms at about half an inch in flat. The pan deep in the danger zone.
