Hey everyone
In our racing series, we run standard Toyota 1600 blacktop 20v engines, so far this year we've been through 2 engines, others through 4 so far, and reading the data we see a drop in oil pressure, prior to building the engines we've gotten cranks and everything else set up to spec, oil pumps are shown to be working as factory standard, no one can give us an answer, we've thought about maybe theres too much oil in the sump and the crank is creating a milkshake effect on the top layer of the oil(air i think) preventing the other oil to be used?
Any one have any thoughts about this or has any experience with this engine?
Note:
Out of 3 engines(in 3 cars) buildt exactly the same only 1 of them is fine, but has had alot more racing done with a novice driver who isnt driving the car as hard as the other 2, and engines are limited to 8,000rpm
