What do you guys think? Size offset question

I was running 18x10 +10 in the rear here with a 245/35:

I am thinking about running a 17x10 +0 in the rear with a 225/40 tire.

The 245/35 rubbed over big bumps and I was kind of hoping to get away from that but these wheels are uber sexy.

I ran the combo on willtheyfit.com and it looks kinda hairy.

Are your fenders flared or just rolled? or are the rubbing on something else?
