Looking for advice on what tire size to put on 16x7/16x8 wheels for a moderate to "major" stretch, the cheaper the tire the better (don't care about performance, road noise, etc etc lol)

Thanks in advance for any input

Great link, thanks!

Looks like this is probably what I'll do all-around (205/40/16)

on an 8

Going to be little to no stretch in the front but oh well :(

I run 205/40/16 falken 512's on my 16x7/16x78 set. Decent amount of stretch on the 8's.

I don't know of any 185's in 16", I think the next size down is 165 or something stupid lol

I don't know what car you're putting them on, but tires smaller than 205/40/16 with short sidewalls start having really low load ratings which aren't up to the task for larger vehicle weights. This is a non-issue if you're throwing them on an older, smaller car.

HUGELY helpful. Thanks so much, I appreciate it.

EDIT: they're going on my 2500lbs '88 MR2, I should be okay :D
