  • W202- cut springs or lowering springs

So I plan on killing some wheel gap, and getting lower. The question is should I get my hands on some lowering springs or go ahead and cut my current springs to bring the car down. I plan on getting some billsteins once I drop the car so blowing out shocks won't really be a problem. My future wheel plans consist of going with bigger wheels 18x8.5?

Edit: forgot to mention I want to keep my ride quality as close to stock as possible, I commute 2 hours from home to school every weekend.

Cutting springs is never a good idea, you will sacrifice a lot of ride quality.
