Need help with tire brand and size

[Eazy-E46]

I have a 03 330ci coupe lowered on H&R Race springs and Bilstein struts/shocks. I'm going to be running 18x9 +35 all the way around and I am not sure if I should go with a 215-35-18 or 215-40-18. Whichever one you guys think wont rub would be the one I would go with. I was looking at the Falken Ziex 912's and the 512's. Is there any difference in the stretch between the two? Here's a few pics of trying out my fitment.

I prefer the look of the 215/40s on a car the size of an e46. I'd go with the 512s, they tend to run "small" and stretch a lot better.

i have the kinda same problem!? i have 18x9 wheels and have a set of falken "fk 452" 215/40/18...i am a noob at this "stretch"... i brought it out to discount tires to mount them... they said they will not mount them and pointed out on the tires "do not mount on sizes bigger than 8.5"" on tires....

is it the wrong brand ? i see a lot of guy running 215/40/18 on 18x9??? or should i just bring it to another shop?
