View Full Version : scottish daily

heres wip of my daily from when i bought it to current state. still not happy with it.
add sum of this
wheels be on at wknd and hopefully sort sum camber lol
scene points lol
cracked few alloys so have got one repaired removed camber and fitted 195 40 16s on 7j n 8j instead of the 165 40 16s. no doubt after awhile and ive got it completely fixed and some spare wheels ill run 165s again. price to pay for having crap roads here.
11-26-2009, 04:42 PM
damn that's some stretch! :)
i like it!
11-26-2009, 04:46 PM
That thing is unique!
Any pics from the side with the camoed wheels?
That subwoofer is enormous and that stretch is insane! Awesome. Would be too much for my cup of tea but it's interesting to see you rocking it.
11-26-2009, 04:53 PM
The ideas are all good, but the execution isn't really how I'd do it. Your car though.
11-26-2009, 04:57 PM
slocar its a daily, only get time to adjust it when it allows, the camo is changing colour as i never got round to laquring them and wheels need refurbed
11-26-2009, 05:00 PM
a pic of them before i decided to do the camo before the show
glad to see you spaced the rears properly. fronts next I hope?
11-27-2009, 08:50 AM

Wow..That's different.. Looks good!
11-27-2009, 10:55 AM
Pretty cool, Def will never see one of those in the states.
11-27-2009, 11:59 AM
glad to see you spaced the rears properly. fronts next I hope?
ealy pics were 7js then when i got the red wheels they were 7 and 8js.
front now has the sport axle on it so 7s look abit better, either i get 8s for the front or space the 7s a tad more, not sure yet.
camo being changed to black, grey, white and yellow.

05-18-2010, 03:45 PM

05-24-2010, 04:03 AM

Props to you sir.
alright dude love what you've done with the clio haha at first i was like wtf but to what it is now i gotta say looks really good!
where did you get the adapters from and even the wheels?
pm me if you could thanks.
06-11-2010, 02:28 PM

07-31-2011, 10:50 AM
erm a little more has happened now im back home.
as it stands, im saving fro new wheels and respray. so here is what ive been doing.
well i aquired a damaged shell. more to come. :D
so more steel came friday, so not working on sat spent most of the day putting the floor in. welding the hitch to the chassi and started to weld the tailgate. heres the pictures, also learnt i love to use the plasma cutter, its awesome.
making template for the rear of the floor.
smoothing of the tailgate
07-31-2011, 10:59 AM
i think the trailer would look better if cut off after the doors. pretty sweet regardless though.
07-31-2011, 11:43 AM
For most of this build I really didn't like what I was seeing, especially the camo rims. But now seeing it in it's current cleaned state, it looks great. A little spacing on the front, maybe even some black dished wheels and it'll be spot on! :) Looking forward to where you're taking it next.
P.S. Love the roof box!
07-31-2011, 12:43 PM
i was going to do it from the doors back but it really wouldnt have looked good or been much point for use of a trailer.
im keeping the idea of a van with oem look but with some subtle smoothing and will nail the stance once i have the wheels with fabrication on the axle, im making it to drag and drive low with out worry of a new sump or gearbox, im on my 3rd of each
07-31-2011, 01:16 PM
Im not feeling the black porch wheels if i were u i would paint them silver but other than that its a unique build
07-31-2011, 02:18 PM
they went along time ago, ive had 3 sets of porsche wheels since then then standard alloys then back to the steel wheels. till i make my mind up what i want.
07-31-2011, 06:22 PM
Cool Clio you have there, looks like a lot of fun.
Cant wait to see what wheels you come up with, and that trailer is awesome :alright
08-01-2011, 08:46 AM

08-01-2011, 10:27 AM

08-01-2011, 01:07 PM
haha cheers guys
08-01-2011, 11:13 PM
Liking this look setup with the bra as well.
08-02-2011, 06:29 AM
with the bumper bra, what you think of it?
ive got a bonnet one and did use the 3m blue tape for the front and side when i went to belguim but i used a hole roll n took ages lol. the bumper one just looks to loose for me really think grit would get behind easy and scratched into the paintwork......
08-03-2011, 04:47 PM
bumper bra worked well for what it is. i used it due to always on motor way, now i dont as im rarely on it. kept it clean,
08-03-2011, 05:37 PM
i think you sir experience the fine Scottish whiskey way too often. this thing is beyond insane. love it though
08-07-2011, 04:53 AM
started to do the front end. this is just to get rough idea. but wont be the end result. lots of fabrication now begins
haha riddler im not fan of whisky, but drink yes
08-29-2011, 05:55 PM
08-29-2011, 07:29 PM
Dude! Yes! Just yes! :alright Wish we had those over here!
09-03-2011, 05:57 PM
