Complete Newbie To Coilovers

So I have a mk4 gti vr6, and I'm interested in slamming it and have a some nice poke and offset.
Problem 1 is, i'm not technically inclined in coilovers, I know what they are and all that, but other than that I know nothing.

So basically I want some info that would help me in slamming my mk4, I'm looking for quality parts as well, not any cheap shit.

Its a pretty simple car to set-up to begin with. When I had my mk4 gti I had FK silverlines+ and loved the ride, plus stainless for the winter was a bonus. Just head over to ecs-tuning pick out what kind your going to go with and I'd recommend getting new top hats and strutmounts, as there cheap and yours are probably getting worn but I'm just anal. Atleast you'd be starting off with fresh parts and then just get a how-to off of vwvortex for the install. Its all trial and error on setting up what height your looking for.
