alright kids

Dont know why we havent learnt from past meets, but everytime we have a stanceworks gathering expecting it to be small it just blows out of proportion and we get meets that are 3x bigger than we expected.

This is no exception. Which brings up a few things i want to discuss. Not gonna lie to any of you, but me and oxer have been talking about locations which will be disclosed until a week prior and due to the numbers we've been having some difficulty. However I would like to discuss a few things with the familia

We got two options really.

1) Same old same old dinner at a food joint.
Pros;
- We would need to park real close to each other
- Everyone is close together
- No one gets ripped off and get what they paid for
- Private area

Cons;
- Wont have adequate parking to fit everyone. Thus people would need to hard park on the street and parking on the street is very limited
- Getting in and out of this location will be a pain in the ass

So pretty much what we usually do.


or

2) Private car park/property - BBQ sesh
Pros;
- Private location with adequate amounts of parking for everyone
- Secluded from the general eyes of the public
- typical BBQ
- Beats provided
- Its a night BBQ
- Adequate lighting for epic pictures
- There is a gate. And it will be manned
- No randoms can enter. (keep reading for why)

Cons
- Driveway is a bitch. But its possible
- In a very hot spot location. However once at this location and away from the general eyes of the public it will be all good
- Its pretty far for the majority of StanceWorks members
- Its a night BBQ?
- Date will need to be changed. Either a day after or a week after which will be getting close to christmas.
- Preferably i would like everyone to stay for a few hours into the night at least so it doesnt get difficult letting people in and out
- Depending how big your stomach is, you may or may not get ripped off with food. Ideally, come on time to get your share. But, please be considerate. If your up to your 5th snag, suck on something similar to entertain yourself and let someone else have another snag who isnt up to their third
- If mother nature decides to work against our favour on the night, this venue/option will go out the window.


Personally, i like the second idea. Too ambitious? Well to make this work i need the following co-operation
- $10 entry per person at the gate. That means, if you got 5 people in your car thats 50 bucks for the car. Why am i stealing your cash? This is because Im gonna buy all the snags and drinks prior to the meet. Your money will cover for the food and drinks. Rough average = 3 snags per person + drink. Any profit made from this meet will be given to the owner as a thank you. Fair?
- Now, for this to work i need exact numbers. This means the following; For every car that decides to rock up i will need your registration number and amount of passengers you wanna bring. Why? Well it will tell me exactly how many cars and people are gonna rock up so i can have an idea on food and drinks and most importantly by me having your registration number, hopefully this will safeguard all of us from heroes ripping skids to and from this location. May i repeat that this location is in a hot spot area of melbourne. The owner of this location owns a very reputable and busy business and does not want anyone wrecking their reputation. I will hand all registration numbers to the owner, so if someone does want to become a hero then the owner states he will not hesitate handing in such information to the police.
- All that being said, its simple. No registration number no entry
- The shit thing is, this is an outdoor event. If we do go with option 2 and the weather forecast seems shocking, then option 1 will be a back up AND it will be subject to change a couple days prior.

Second option to ambitious? Want it simple? Like the second idea? Oxer and I dont mind what we have. Cause like i said its about getting the familia together and meeting new peeps


Option 3 - BBQ late arvo sesh.

Pros;
- Away from hot spot areas of melbourne
- Its in a wide open space park space
- Wont get ripped off. Food = 1 dollar per snag per drink as we arent giving profits to anyone
- Pre meets can be organized. Epic cruize time will be acquired.

Cons;
- 1 hour drive away from melbourne. Yes this includes east and west
- Public area. But chances of cops being there are next to none as we are well away from pettett and his jolly gang
- Venue subject to change to option 1 if weather changes
- Speed bumps will come standard at this location - and many of them.
- Date change = Oxer can chime in on this one cause im fried and cant remember the date he said. But it will either be a sunday arvo?

For this to work, same goes as above. But dont need your rego. All Oxer and I need is a simple attendance list. None of this maybe bullshit. We want 100%. If your gonna bring someone, update the list with a +1 etc etc and state who and what car if they are not a passenger.

Option 3 is a less complicated option compared to option 2. Only really down side is that its 1 hour away from melbourne. We came up with this option because the last thing we want is one of the familia getting defected.

Not gonna lie to you all, we are more likely gonna have this option due to the fact;
1) we dont want to be leading everyone into a hot spot location and get defects
2) we arent inclined to make a little profit to give the business
3) park lay out with open space seems more viable as there is plenty of parking.

Now let me know what you think. I know i know you need dates but i also know you guys are keen as fuck to know info. Ill update this post and the original post when oxer texts me back

Id like to thank everyone for there mature, positive and friendly attitude. With this type of attitude, i will most definitely see you guys for a SW familia and friends gathering again sometime in the new year. From this meet, if we ever had another BBQ, a bigger BBQ and more snags needs to be obtained and a generator to plug some speakers in will definitely be brought next time.
